Arrive at Michael’s place
Left Bakersfield in the morning. Penny had already left before I got up. I guess that she didn’t want to say good-bye. We both know it’s been over for a while now. While dealing with traffic on the Grapevine, I decide to drop by mom in Acton, CA. I call her on the cell phone and we arrange lunch at her trailer, in the 1000 Trails site.
We have lunch and talk for a while. I explain what’s going on with Penny. We’re both sad. This takes a few hours and I get back on the road, to Simi Valley, very late. I call Mike, at his office, to let him know what’s happening.
